This is a problem all over Victoria not just the Mornington Peninsula. The cost-of-living increase and housing increase all stems from the
1. Government debt is nearly at $1 trillion, this is affecting inflation, cost of living and affordability of household items and therefore
individuals saving capacity.
2. Stamp duty, the government is that greedy that not only do you pay tax on your income, but you also save as hard as you can to purchase a
house and you get slapped with more tax, such as stamp duty. Remove or severely reduce stamp duty – make the housing marketing easier to
Regulate foreign investment into the housing market – keep homes for residents of the Mornington Peninsula to buy.
Reduce the cost of living with no fuel excise tax, and reduce the cost of government therefore saving individuals more and assisting with
cost of living.
I don’t believe one off payments will fix the issue or even appease the symptoms of the issue unlike some other parties think.
